The SIXTH book in the Amy Rowlings Golden Age mystery series will be released on June 5th by SpellBound Books Ltd. The mystery concerns Lonnie Firth, whose body is found lying outside the infamous Dragon Pub in the centre of Spinton. When Inspector Bodkin hears the news, he is perplexed. It can’t be Lonnie as he was murdered three years before, and his mother identified the body. Bodkin asks young Amy Rowlings to help with the case but it turns out to be the most dangerous investigation she has worked on yet.
Encore For Murder. The SIXTH in the series of Golden Age Murder Mysteries is now available to pre-order ahead of the publication date of 5th June 2025.
I’d like to thank Sumaira Wilson and Nikki East from SpellBound Books Ltd for all their hard work in preparing the book for release. Nikki East has produced another wonderful cover.
Here is the new back of the book blurb, replacing the one I published on the site last month.
AMY ROWLINGS RETURNS!
In Encore for Murder, the sixth instalment of the Amy Rowlings Golden Age Mystery series, amateur sleuth Amy Rowlings is pulled into one of her most puzzling cases yet—how can a man be murdered twice?
When gang member Lonnie Firth turns up dead, again, Amy joins forces with Inspector Bodkin to untangle a web of deception, rival gangs, and dangerous alliances.
From the seductive and deadly Bessie Dagger to the scheming Dora ‘Birdie’ Lark, everyone has something to hide.
As secrets surface and loyalties are tested, Amy must tread carefully—because in this case, solving the mystery might just be the most dangerous thing she’s ever done.

It began with a trivial moment of carelessness, but the shockwaves that reverberate from this seemingly insignificant incident, spread far and wide.
Ed and his heavily pregnant wife Mary are on an errand for Ed’s ailing father before the pair depart for warmer climes. But the winter of 1962 comes early and one innocuous event and a hastily taken decision will have devastating consequences for the family of young Rose Gorton.
